Asaba Katsumi
Born in Kanagawa in 1940. Established Asaba Design Office in 1975. Undertakes advertising for Suntory, the Seibu Department Stores, Misawa Home and many more. Awards recieved include the Tokyo ADC Award Grand Prix, and the Medal with Purple Ribbon. Chairman of Tokyo TDC, committee member of Tokyo ADC and director of JAGDA. Affiliate professor at Tokyo Zokei University and Kyoto Seika University.
About the design
We say “Time flies,” but no one can see it's flying. Although time goes as like a shot arrow, we should live life to its fullest. Daily calendar reminds us of such leesson.
A Chinese calligraphy master Wang Xizhi once held a banquet by the river, where each guest reads a poem before a sake cup floats away in front of him. This took place back in 353. I wonder what is happening today in 2010.
