Dean, Nihon Designer Art School. Awards received include the Lahti Poster Biennale Silver Prize in 1979, the NY ADC Bronze Prize in 1985, the NY ADC International Exhibition Bronze Prize in 1992, and a number of cultural prizes in his hometown, Gihu. His works are collected in numerous museums in Japan and abroad.
