Honjo Masami
Born in Okinawa in 1953. Started graphic design in 1971. Established Design Studio Clip in 1976. Incorporates view and sensitivity rooted from special locality of Okinawa island into his creativity. Won a number of local prizes. Representative of JAGDA Okinawa Chapter.
About the design
“Shadow of Memories.” I was fascinated by a shadow of a poll drawn on the iron wall by west sun. It impressed me much stronger than the real poll. Shadows appear and disappear in passage of time. The flowers and grass on street asphalts in towns seem to enjoy their lives to the fullest extent.
