Sago Hitomi
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Runs her own studio, Hitomi Sago Design Office. With graphic design as main principle, she executes a wide range of projects from corporate branding to product design. Major awards include the NY ADC Silver Prize, the JAGDA New Designer Award, the Japan Package Design Award Special Prize, and more.
About the design
My assigned date, December 21, contains only 1 and 2, and it is 1221 both from back and forward. That kind of day is rare, so I designed the figures themselves as a motif. Later I figured out on the internet that it was “Long-distance Romance Day.” Then we can interpret it as one becoming two, and the two becoming one again. Whether you are on your own or with your +1, I hope the day will be a bit special one.
