Suzuki Mamoru
Born in Tokyo in 1956. Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei High School. Established Suzuki Mamoru Design Office in 1994. Member of Tokyo ADC. Major awards include the Asahi Advertising Award; the Mainichi Design Award; the Tokyo ADC Awards in 1992, 1993 and 1998; the JAGDA New Designer Award in 1995; and the International Poster Triennial in Toyama Bronze Prize in 1997.
About the design
November 25 is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The gender equality cannot easily be achieved throughout the world, because each country or region has different religions, customs, classes of people and so on. I wish the right to emigrate to foreign countiries will at least be guaranteed if one cannot accept one’s homeland customs.
