Anzai Mizumaru
Born in Tokyo in 1942. Illustrator. Became freelance after working for Dentsu, ADAC in New York, and Heibonsha. Won many awards including the Asahi Advertising Award and the Mainichi Design Award. Published a number of essays and novels; translated novels by Truman Capote and others.
About the design
It is the season of green after the cherry blossoms are gone, so I drew green clubs. My dictionary tells this pattern was designed from a clover leaf. It is painted all in black in the cards.
