Ebina Tatsuo
Born in Tokyo in 1960. Founded his own studio, E. in 1986. Art-directs a number of magazines and advertising campaigns. Member of Tokyo ADC and the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI). Awards received include the Tokyo ADC Awards, the Asahi Advertising Award and the NY ADC Award and many more.
About the design
I expressed figures for time and date with a nostalgic motif of sand. I tried to see how the halftone from white to black in small powder of sand, and the wrinkles and line of light, would be reproduced by Super Real Black.
