Born in Tokyo in 1940. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1964. Established Kamijyo Studio in 1970. Awards received include the Japan Advertising Artists Club Award in 1968; the Tokyo ADC Awards in 1969, 1974 and 1975; the International Calendar Contest Gold Prize in 1980; the All-Japan Calendar Exhibition Prime Minister Award in 1994; and many more. Member of Tokyo ADC, Vice President of JAGDA.
About the design
There is a moment when a familiar sight suddenly holds a different meaning: cracks and spots on a wall look like animal figures, or facade of houses look like a face. I usually record them with my camera. For October 9, I chose photos of wire-fence that looked like a flower. I was delighted when I found it while taking a walk. I hope to share such happiness with you.
