Kinoshita Katsuhiro
Born in Tokyo in 1954. After working for Tanaka Ikko Design Studio, established his own studio Design Club in 1986.
Awards received include the JAGDA New Designer Award, the NY ADC Silver and Bronze Prizes, the International Biennale of Posters in Mexico Silver Prize, the Tokyo ADC Hara Hiromu Award, and the Tokyo TDC Members Award Silver Prize. Professor at Tama Art University, Department of Graphic Design.
About the design
The theme is from a haiku by Basho, depicting the Milky Way reflected over the raging waves in the Japan Sea.
