Katsui Mitsuo
Born in Tokyo in 1931. Graduated from Tokyo University of Education. Served as art director of the 1970 Osaka Expo, 1975 Okinawa Expo, and 1985 Tsukuba Expo. Pioneered new forms of communicative expression enabled by new technologies. Professor Emeritus at Musashino Art University. President of JAGDA. Member of Tokyo ADC and AGI. Awards include the Mainichi Design Award, the Medal with Purple Ribbon, among many others.
