Born in Aichi in 1950. Graduated from Toho Gakuen Junior College in 1970. Established his own studio, Niinomi Design Office in 1973. Part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, and Nihon Designer Geijutsu Gakuin. Received the 19th Warsaw International Poster Biennale Silver Prize, and the 8th International Poster Triennial in Toyama Gold Prize.
